The Truth About The ICE Deportation Hysteria

Thousands are in the streets protesting (again) recent ICE deportation efforts and their willingness to follow the law this week, following the deportation of Guadalupe García de Rayos, an illegal immigrant mother of two from Phoenix, Arizona.

Eight years ago, Guadalupe was caught by immigration officials, and was allowed to stay requiring she check in once a year. As she did in previous years, she checked in at her local immigration office. This time she was taken into custody and subsequently deported from The United States on Thursday. Rayos has lived in the United States since the age of 14.

Carlos Garcia, director of the pro immigrant group Puente Arizona, announced to a bitter crowd she had been deported, and was “one of the first victims of President Trump.”

Claiming victim-hood in this instance is moronic and intellectually dishonest. When an illegal border crossing occurs, they knowingly participate in committing a crime, and understand the ramifications of that crime.

As stated in the Immigration and Nationality Act Section 237 (a)(1)(B) :

Any alien who is present in the United States in violation of this Act or any other law of the United States is deportable.

Further, the media’s wall to wall coverage of the deportations and false attribution to the Trump Administration after ICE announced the raids had been planned for awhile, shows how hypocritical the Left has become.

This is just a handful:

According to the Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Gillian Christensen confirmed these actions were “routine” immigration enforcement operations, and while President Trump has made illegal immigration a cornerstone of his campaign, and even credits himself for bringing the issue to presidential race, these ICE  deportations are nothing new.

In a 2016 report, under President Obama 3 million illegal immigrants were deported throughout his administration, setting a new deportation record, previously held by President George W. Bush at 2 million. Not once were those deportations reported on in the MSM, and not once were they protested in the streets.

Not only did Obama deport the highest number of illegal immigrants in American history, The Border Patrol’s budget was expanded from $5.9 billion 2003 to $11.9 billion in 2013, while ICE’s grew from $3.3 billion to $5.9 billion. As of 2013, the two agencies had a total budget of nearly $18 billion, and that number increased to nearly $20 billion in 2016.

Where were the headlines stating “President Obama Is Tearing Apart Families”?

These protests and headlines are not about illegal immigration.

They are about smearing President Trump and tying his administration to any controversy possible, when they are simply following the law. They are about ignoring the rule of law. They are about advocating the globalist open border agenda.
